Nu när nynazister tar plats i grekiska parlamentet, kommer de att dela lokal med ett traditionellt och dogmatiskt kommunistparti. Grekiska kommunistpartiet, KKE, sitter i parlamentet sedan tidigare och fick i detta val 8,5% av rösterna och 26 av 300 mandat. I KKE:s aganda ligger urträde ur Euron och EU, samt på sikt en socialisering av alla produktionsmedel i "folkets bästa intresse".
Demokratin i Grekland hotas inte bara av fascister, utan även deras "värsta fiender", kommunisterna, önskar också ett sista demokratiska val.

Jag har inte granskat det fascistiska Gyllene Grynings syn på fria demokratiska val, där partier ur hela det politiska spektrumet får delta. Men utifrån kommunisterna KKE:s program är det dock uppenbart att de, efter revolutionen, endast kommer tillåta partier som stöttar ett socialistiskt system. Nedan några citat ur det flersidiga programmet från 1996:
The bourgeois state and its machinery must be overthrown. A new popular power must be created which is none other than socialist power.
Under conditions where the class struggle and the popular movement are on the rise, when the revolutionary process has begun, there may be a government, as the instrument of the people’s power, which will have the approval and consent of the struggling people, without general elections or parliamentary procedures. This government will be identical with, or merely formally separate from, the power of the working class and its allies.

Irrespective of the form it will take, the socialist state, from the point of view of its class essence, will be a revolutionary power of the working class, the dictatorship of the proletariat.
The tasks of the socialist state will include hindering the efforts which the local capitalists and international reaction are certain to make to restore the regime of capitalist power, and creating a new society by abolishing the exploitation of man by man.

The socialist republic will safeguard the existence of the parties that act within the framework of the socialist system.

Grekland är väl ett lyxfällan-problem. Anings-och ryggradslösa politiker som i tjugo år har gett mer än de hade råd till. På köpet har de konkursat landet.
Att vem som helst är bättre än de sittande politikerna kan ett barn begripa. Ut ur euron, devalvera sig ur krisen, res ingenstans på fem år och jobba.

Påminner om ett annat val i ett annat land för ganska precis 80 år sedan. När de etablerade partierna försökte manövrera ut den ena extramsidan genom att leka "två slår den tredje". Det gick väl sådär. Ekonomisk kris är en stor utmaning för demokratin. Den måste bestå provet likväl.
